Regard Wins the 2026 Global HealthTech Impact Award

Recognizing transformative technologies delivering measurable impact across healthcare systems worldwide.

HealthTechNode is proud to announce that Regard has been selected as the winner of the 2026 Global HealthTech Impact Award, recognizing its measurable contributions to clinical decision support, documentation quality, physician efficiency, and patient care at scale.

Regard stood out for addressing one of the most persistent problems in modern healthcare: clinicians are expected to make high-stakes decisions while working from incomplete and fragmented patient records. By analyzing the full electronic health record before the physician encounter and surfacing relevant diagnoses, supporting evidence, and a draft clinical note at the point of care, Regard helps physicians work from a more complete picture while reducing administrative burden.

“Regard represents the kind of system-level impact this award was created to recognize. Its platform is not simply adding another AI layer to the clinical environment, it is helping physicians surface critical diagnostic context, reduce documentation burden, and improve care delivery at meaningful scale. That combination of measurable outcomes, workflow integration, and broad adoption made Regard a clear standout.”

Global HealthTech Impact Award

Transforming Healthcare Access Across Borders.

Winner: Regard

Regard is redefining how clinicians access and act on critical patient information at the point of care. The platform reviews 100% of the patient’s medical record before the physician enters the room, surfaces likely diagnoses with supporting evidence, and drafts a complete clinical note in the clinician’s own documentation style. This allows physicians to begin the encounter with a more complete, actionable understanding of the patient while reducing time spent searching through fragmented records.

What makes Regard especially compelling is its ability to improve both care quality and operational performance without forcing major workflow disruption. Because it integrates into Epic through SMART on FHIR, hospitals can deploy the platform within existing clinical environments. That low-friction implementation model has supported adoption across more than 150 hospitals, where clinicians have already accepted more than 12 million diagnosis recommendations generated by the system.

The impact extends well beyond documentation. Health system results shared in the submission point to meaningful improvements in observed-to-expected mortality for sepsis and stroke, stronger severity-of-illness capture, reduced chart review time, and fewer claim denials that delay treatment. Together, these outcomes show how Regard is transforming the relationship between clinical intelligence, physician workflow, and patient care at real-world scale.

  • Deployed across more than 150 hospitals, demonstrating meaningful real-world adoption
  • More than 12 million diagnosis recommendations accepted by clinicians
  • Reported 20 to 30 percent improvement in observed-to-expected mortality for sepsis and stroke at WakeMed
  • Reduced physician documentation and chart review burden while improving documentation quality

About the Award
