The 2026 HealthTech Executive of the Year Award recognizes an exceptional leader whose vision, decisions, and execution created meaningful progress across health technology during the year.

This category celebrates executives who do more than lead successful organizations. It recognizes individuals who identify important healthcare needs, guide innovation, build capable teams, deliver measurable results, and help move the health technology industry forward.

The strongest entries will focus on the nominee’s personal contribution during 2026. Submissions should clearly explain the decisions, initiatives, or achievements the executive led and provide credible evidence of the resulting organizational, customer, patient, provider, or industry impact.

Who Should Apply?

This category is open to senior leaders working within health technology, healthcare, life sciences, clinical research, or related fields. Eligible nominees may include:

• Founders and co-founders
• Chief executive officers and presidents
• Chief technology, product, medical, clinical, or innovation officers
• Senior vice presidents and other executive leaders
• Health system and provider organization executives
• Life sciences and clinical research leaders
• Nonprofit, public health, and healthcare policy leaders
• Executives leading established companies, startups, business units, or major initiatives

Executives may enter themselves or be nominated by their company, an authorized representative, agency, communications partner, colleague, customer, investor, or industry collaborator.

What Judges Will Look For

Entries will be evaluated based on the nominee’s leadership, execution, evidence, and impact during 2026. Judges will consider:

• Vision: The clarity and significance of the executive’s direction for the organization or industry
• Leadership: The individual’s ability to guide teams, influence decisions, develop talent, and build organizational strength
• Innovation: The executive’s role in advancing new technologies, services, strategies, partnerships, or business models
• Execution: The ability to translate vision into meaningful programs, milestones, growth, or operational results
• Healthcare relevance: The importance of the problems addressed and the executive’s contribution to advancing healthcare
• Measurable impact: Credible evidence of organizational, customer, provider, patient, community, or industry results

Eligibility

• Open to executives and senior leaders working in health technology, healthcare, life sciences, clinical research, or a closely related field
• Nominees may be located anywhere in the world
• The entry must focus on the nominee’s leadership, achievements, and impact during the 2026 calendar year
• The nominee must have held a senior leadership role during the period covered by the entry
• Self-nominations and nominations submitted by authorized third parties are accepted
• Supporting claims and results should be accurate and clearly connected to the nominee’s contribution

What to Include in Your Entry

Entrants should provide a focused account of the nominee’s leadership and distinguishing achievements during 2026. Submissions should include:

• The nominee’s name, title, organization, and leadership responsibilities
• An overview of the organization, team, program, or business area the nominee leads
• The most important decisions, initiatives, or achievements led by the nominee during 2026
• An explanation of the individual’s direct contribution to those achievements
• Examples of innovation, organizational leadership, team development, or industry influence
• Measurable results demonstrating company, customer, patient, provider, community, or industry impact
• Supporting links, reports, media coverage, testimonials, case studies, or other relevant evidence
