The 2026 Best HealthTech for Aging Populations Award recognizes a technology, product, platform, service, or initiative that helps older adults live healthier, safer, more connected, and more independent lives.
This category celebrates innovations addressing the changing health, care, and daily living needs associated with aging. Eligible solutions may support older adults directly or assist the family members, caregivers, clinicians, and organizations involved in their care.
The strongest entries will demonstrate a clear understanding of the people they serve and provide credible evidence that the solution improved health, safety, access, independence, coordination, or quality of life during 2026.

Who Should Apply?
This category is open to companies, organizations, and teams creating or implementing technology for older adults, caregivers, clinicians, or senior care organizations. Eligible entrants may include:
- Digital health and healthy aging companies
- Remote monitoring and connected care providers
- Medical device and assistive technology developers
- Home care, senior living, and long-term care technology companies
- Caregiver support and care coordination platforms
- Hospitals, health systems, and provider organizations
- Health plans, employers, and community health programs
- Startups, established companies, nonprofit organizations, and industry partnerships
Organizations may enter directly or be submitted by an authorized representative, agency, communications partner, customer, caregiver organization, or member of the implementation team.
What Judges Will Look For
Entries will be evaluated based on the solution’s relevance, design, usability, evidence, and impact. Judges will consider:
- User need: The importance of the health, safety, caregiving, access, or independence challenge being addressed
- Human-centered design: How effectively the solution reflects the abilities, preferences, circumstances, and experiences of older adults and caregivers
- Usability and accessibility: The clarity, practicality, and ease of use for intended users
- Innovation: The originality or significance of the technology, service model, workflow, or approach
- Implementation: Evidence that the solution can be adopted and used effectively in homes, communities, care settings, or healthcare organizations
- Measurable impact: Credible evidence of improved health, safety, access, independence, engagement, coordination, or quality of life

Eligibility
- Open to companies, organizations, programs, partnerships, and teams worldwide
- The submitted solution must clearly support older adults, caregivers, clinicians, or organizations serving aging populations
- The solution may address healthcare, prevention, safety, mobility, accessibility, caregiving, independent living, social connection, or quality of life
- The work must have been developed, launched, implemented, expanded, updated, or significantly advanced during the 2026 calendar year
- Solutions at different stages of maturity may enter when meaningful development, validation, adoption, or implementation can be demonstrated
- Supporting claims and results should be accurate and attributable to the submitted solution
What to Include in Your Entry
Entrants should clearly explain the need being addressed, the people served, and the value delivered during 2026. Submissions should include:
- An overview of the solution, platform, device, service, program, or initiative
- A description of the older adults, caregivers, clinicians, or organizations it supports
- The health, safety, access, caregiving, or independent living challenge it addresses
- An explanation of how intended users informed the design or implementation where relevant
- Information about usability, accessibility, privacy, security, safety, or caregiver involvement where applicable
- Important development, launch, implementation, partnership, or adoption milestones from 2026
- Measurable results demonstrating improved health, safety, access, independence, engagement, coordination, or quality of life
- Supporting links, demonstrations, research, reports, feedback, case studies, or customer examples
