Zanda Health Wins the 2026 Mental & Behavioral HealthTech Award
HealthTechNode recognizes Zanda Health for helping mental health and allied health professionals reduce documentation demands through BizzyAI.
Salt Lake City, October 5, 2026 HealthTechNode has named Zanda Health the winner of the 2026 Mental & Behavioral HealthTech Award, recognizing BizzyAI and its work helping psychologists, counselors, therapists, and allied health professionals reduce documentation and administrative demands while remaining focused on client care.
Mental and behavioral health professionals frequently balance direct client care with clinical notes, correspondence, billing, reporting, and other administrative responsibilities. That workload can divide attention during sessions, extend beyond the clinical day, and reduce the time practitioners have available for clients.
Zanda Health developed BizzyAI to address that challenge inside the same practice management environment clinicians already use for appointments, client records, clinical notes, billing, reporting, and communications. Rather than requiring practitioners to move sensitive information into a separate general-purpose AI platform, BizzyAI brings documentation and communication support directly into established healthcare workflows.
The winning entry stood out for combining practical AI capabilities, measurable time savings, practitioner oversight, and healthcare-focused privacy safeguards. Zanda reports that practitioners using BizzyAI save an average of approximately five hours each week, with individual case studies demonstrating substantial reductions in documentation time and increased capacity for client care.
“Zanda Health earned this recognition for addressing a substantial but sometimes overlooked challenge in mental and behavioral healthcare: the administrative burden placed on the professionals delivering care. BizzyAI stood out for combining practical AI capabilities with established clinical workflows, healthcare-grade security, and measurable time savings. By helping practitioners spend less time documenting care and more time engaging with clients, Zanda is creating meaningful value for both providers and the people they serve.”

Why Zanda Health Was Selected
The Mental & Behavioral HealthTech Award recognizes technologies, platforms, and care models that improve access, support, continuity, and outcomes across mental and behavioral healthcare. HealthTechNode evaluated the entries based on innovation, category fit, evidence strength, real-world usability, and demonstrated value for patients, practitioners, organizations, or communities.
Zanda Health distinguished itself by applying AI to the daily workflows that surround client care. BizzyAI is not presented as a replacement for clinical expertise or professional judgment. It is designed to help qualified practitioners complete documentation and communication tasks more efficiently while retaining responsibility for reviewing and approving the final output.
BizzyAI: Scribe securely transcribes live sessions or dictated notes and creates structured clinical documentation using the practitioner’s chosen template. Practitioners can adjust the tone, format, level of detail, and instructions so the resulting notes reflect their established working style.
The broader BizzyAI suite supports additional clinical and administrative workflows:
- BizzyAI: Write helps practitioners prepare letters, emails, client replies, policies, templates, and other practice communications.
- BizzyAI: Note Refine turns rough clinical or administrative notes into clearer, more structured documentation.
- BizzyAI: Insights helps surface relevant information from client histories and previous notes for summaries, referral letters, reports, and communications.
Because these capabilities operate within Zanda’s practice management platform, practitioners can use AI-assisted tools alongside existing appointment, client-record, documentation, billing, reporting, and communication workflows. This reduces the need to copy sensitive information between disconnected systems or construct prompts in general-purpose AI tools.
Measurable Impact on Practitioner Workloads
Zanda supported its entry with practitioner examples demonstrating how reduced documentation time can affect both the clinical day and overall practice capacity.
- Psychologist Miki Skinner reported reducing documentation time from approximately 15 minutes to five minutes per note, representing a 66% reduction.
- Dr. Will Vaughn reported reducing note-writing time from approximately 10 minutes to two minutes per note.
- Kathryn Theodosis reported seeing approximately 15 to 20% more clients on an average working day without a corresponding increase in administrative or cognitive burden.
- BizzyAI practitioners report saving an average of approximately five hours per week.
- Practitioners reported completing more of their documentation during the clinical day rather than carrying unfinished notes into personal time.
The entry was particularly relevant to mental and behavioral healthcare because effective sessions depend on attention, listening, and sustained engagement. Reducing the need to divide attention between a client and manual note-taking can help practitioners remain more present while still producing the documentation required for continuity, compliance, and responsible practice management.
Healthcare-Focused Privacy and Oversight
HealthTechNode also considered the safeguards surrounding BizzyAI. Zanda is ISO 27001 certified and independently verified for compliance with applicable HIPAA, GDPR, and Australian Privacy Principles requirements.
Practitioners retain control over AI-assisted outputs and transcript-retention settings, and customer clinical data is not used to train public AI models. Draft documentation remains subject to practitioner review and approval before becoming part of the final clinical record.
This combination of embedded workflow support, measurable efficiency gains, practitioner control, and healthcare-focused security made Zanda Health the strongest overall entry in the 2026 Mental & Behavioral HealthTech Award.
Regulate GmbH Recognized as Runner-Up
Regulate GmbH was recognized as runner-up for its digital breathwork platform, which provides more than 60 short guided sessions designed to support focus, stress regulation, energy, recovery, and emotional capacity.
Most sessions can be completed in one to five minutes and are designed to fit within the working day. The platform combines breathing protocols with real-time recommendations and wearable heart-rate feedback collected before and after sessions.
Regulate supported its entry with results from several workplace programs. Reported outcomes included reduced stress and improvements in focus, readiness, energy, composure, and overall performance. Its combination of brief evidence-informed protocols, personalization, and wearable feedback made Regulate a compelling runner-up in this year’s program.
