Atropos Health Wins the 2026 PharmaTech & Clinical Trials Innovation Award

HealthTechNode recognizes Atropos Health for expanding access to rigorous real-world evidence through its evidence library, Alexandria.

Salt Lake City, September 10, 2026, HealthTechNode has named Atropos Health the winner of the 2026 PharmaTech & Clinical Trials Innovation Award, recognizing its Alexandria Evidence Library and ability to make precise real-world evidence available at greater speed and scale.

Alexandria addresses a persistent challenge across pharmaceutical research and clinical care: many important decisions must be made without evidence that fully reflects patient populations, clinical circumstances, or treatment questions encountered in practice. Traditional studies remain essential, but they can require significant time and resources and may not address every question facing clinicians, researchers, and life sciences organizations.

Atropos Health built Alexandria to help close that gap. The library brings together precision real-world evidence generated from large, de-identified patient datasets and makes those findings available through AI-supported tools and existing healthcare and pharmaceutical workflows. This approach enables users to investigate complex clinical questions, explore outcomes among more representative patient populations, and move from question to evidence more quickly.

The winning submission stood out for combining extraordinary evidence-generation scale with methodological rigor, expert review, and demonstrated value across pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations. Atropos reports that Alexandria has grown to include more than 500 million precision evidence-based findings, with its broader evidence network spanning more than 300 million de-identified patient records. It expects to hit 2 billion precision evidence-based findings by the end of 2026.

“Atropos Health earned this recognition for making high-quality real-world evidence faster, more accessible, and more usable across pharmaceutical research and clinical decision-making. Alexandria stood out for combining evidence generation at extraordinary scale with methodological rigor, peer-reviewed foundations, and demonstrated value across real-world workflows. That balance of innovation, credibility, and practical impact made Atropos Health the clear winner.”

Why Atropos Health Was Selected

The PharmaTech & Clinical Trials Innovation Award recognizes technologies that improve how therapies are researched, developed, evaluated, and brought to patients. HealthTechNode evaluated entries based on innovation, evidence strength, practical implementation, usability, and demonstrated or potential impact across pharmaceutical research and clinical trials.

Atropos Health distinguished itself by addressing the evidence gap at multiple levels. Alexandria provides immediate access to an expanding library of existing findings while also supporting the generation of new observational studies when no available finding answers the question. Atropos reports that new studies can be produced in less than 48 hours, substantially reducing the time traditionally required to turn real-world data into actionable evidence.

The platform supports life sciences teams across research and development, health economics and outcomes research, medical affairs, comparative effectiveness research, and evidence strategy. Teams can also integrate its evidence into clinical and analytical workflows through the Atropos Evidence Agent and partnerships with healthcare technology platforms.

The submission demonstrated that this speed is supported by a structured quality framework. Atropos combines purpose-built technology with data fitness evaluation, methodological standards, AI-supported review, and optional expert clinician review. Its evidence-generation methodology has also appeared in peer-reviewed medical and health informatics publications.

Atropos presented strong evidence of practical value across its broader platform:

  • More than 500 million precision evidence-based findings reported within Alexandria
  • An evidence network spanning more than 300 million de-identified patient records
  • New observational studies produced in less than 48 hours
  • More than $100 million in reported client value from expedited analytics, medication savings, improved patient throughput, and care management initiatives
  • Use across pharmaceutical organizations, health systems, research institutions, and healthcare technology platforms
  • Integration of AI-supported evidence generation with methodological safeguards and access to clinical experts

This combination of scale, speed, credibility, and operational relevance made Alexandria the strongest overall entry in the 2026 PharmaTech & Clinical Trials Innovation Award.

Incannex Recognized as Runner-Up

Incannex Healthcare was recognized as runner-up for developing IHL-42X, an investigational oral fixed-dose combination therapy for obstructive sleep apnea.

IHL-42X stood out for addressing a significant therapeutic gap. Continuous positive airway pressure remains the standard treatment for obstructive sleep apnea, but adherence challenges leave many patients without adequate treatment. No oral pharmaceutical therapies are currently approved for the condition.

Incannex supported its entry with results from the Phase 2 RePOSA trial, which enrolled 121 adults with moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea across U.S. sleep clinics. The study reported improvements across apnea severity, oxygen desaturation, sleep disruption, and patient-reported quality-of-life measures. Treatment was also well tolerated, with no serious adverse events attributed to IHL-42X.

The FDA has granted IHL-42X Fast Track Designation, and Incannex has advanced the therapy into the DReAMzz Phase 2 dose-optimization study. Its potential to establish a new oral treatment option for obstructive sleep apnea made Incannex a compelling runner-up.
